We bring you wonderful products from around the world, produced fairly and ethically, so your shopping choices are supporting communities and social businesses making a difference through their manufacture.
Our motto is great oaks from tiny acorns grow. Generation Wonder is built on the basic belief that the best we can give our children is a great childhood that will be the foundation of the adults they will become. If you're shopping on an internet site for your children, like ours, they are fortunate - they will enjoy a storybook at bedtime, new clothes, birthday presents for themselves and their friends. We believe that the time to teach children about their important place in their family, their community, their society, their global family, is from Day 1. How do children learn? From their parents, and largely through play. At Generation Wonder we find wonderful stories in wonderful products - things the children would love to play with, read, wear, use or give as a gift to a friend. Through the wonder of playing with something that tells a story - about organics or animal conservation or Fairtrade or sustainabilty or poverty reduction, we hope to contribute in a small way to a thoughtful, socially aware set of kids, who take pleasure in simple things and continue to look at the world around them with wonder. We hope the children see themselves as little citizens of the world and embrace their global family. We've deliberately chosen for the website a shop-by-conscience feature, so you can shop from the heart.
We believe it is our LITTLEST citizens who have the BIGGEST capacity to make a difference in the world. We want to help little people tread lightly but take big steps towards being a difference to other people, our planet and our future. In the words of Mahatma Gandhi “you must become the change you wish to see.”
