Benefits for the children: When buying kid's sleepwear, Australian Standards say they must be low fire danger. 100% cotton items are by their nature, classified as low fire danger, and are therefore not sprayed with a fire retardant. So our organic cotton clothes, because of their fabric, are low fire danger, and are not sprayed. Fabrics that are of mixed man made fibres eg polyester, nylon etc must be sprayed with a fire retardant if they are to be used as sleepwear and carry a low fire danger label. Important to know as you put your kids to sleep at night.
Certified organic cotton is an ideal fabric against a baby’s new skin. Organic cotton is known as strong, fine, soft and CLEAN. Clean because the cotton is grown and processed without the use of harmful chemicals

Did you know that it is estimated to take about 150g of pesticides and fertilizers to grow enough cotton for just one non-organic cotton t-shirt? (SCP). The Environmental Protection Agency considers seven of the top 15 pesticides used on cotton in 2000 in the United States as "possible," "likely," "probable," or "known" human carcinogens (acephate, dichloropropene, diuron, fluometuron, pendimethalin, tribufos, and trifluralin).
